Bank Bukopin was established on July 10, 1970 under the name Bank Umum Cooperative Indonesia (abbreviated as Bukopin). The bank started doing commercial business as a cooperative commercial bank in Indonesia since March 16, 1971.
Initially, Bukopin’s business activities included all commercial banking activities as referred to in the Banking Law with the main objective of paying attention to and serving the interests of the cooperative movement in Indonesia in accordance with the applicable Cooperative Law.
